India's first and finest park along the banks of the Ramganga river in the foothills of the Himalayas is the Corbett National Park. In 1957, it was named as Corbett National Park in honour and memory of the latc Jim Corbett, the legendary hunter, naturalist-turned-author and photographer who had helped in setting up the park and demarcating its boundaries. It is regarded as one of the true bird parks of the world. |

The Corbett waterfall on the Kaladhungi-Ramnagar motorable road falling under the Ramnagar Forest Division. The waterfall stands at a distance of 3 kms from the Kaladhungi main road. The fall with a drop of 20 meters is surrounded by a forest belt and camping sites with an abundance of birdlife and plant life. |

Ramnagar is situated on the banks of the river Kosi. One can visit the archaelogical ruins of Dhikuli, the Garjia Devi temple and Sitabani while one is at Ramnagar. 10 kms from Ramnagar are the ruins of Kotabagh, which date back to the Chand rulers. Kaladhungi has been part of Jim Corbett's house, which now houses the Corbett museum. |
